Day 24 -Family (Not just kin)

Wednesday is usually practice night for the band. If most, everyone can be there. Last night seemed a little more special and not because it only lasted an hour. Betsy and Adam, who were there an hour before their meeting, greeted JaNonda and me. The aroma of coffee in the room was pleasant. Richard, who is new, was ready to start his bible study (3 weeks running now). Later Ven came in and said “Hi.” I walk outside and see Bob at his vehicle and as always, he is very uplifting and positive. As I was standing Michele (seems like I haven’t seen her in forever) getting back from a weekend getaway walks by and says “Hey, Chuck!” Startled me but made me feel good at the same time. I really enjoyed just listening to her talk about her weekend experience. No wonder she’s an author. Then just knowing JaNonda and Jarred are there on stage giving their talent and best effort is indescribable. Afterwards, we are leaving and BD walks up perhaps just wanting to see all of us too. There is one word to describe this atmosphere: “Family”.
