Universal: Island's of Adventure

Well, we slept in a little longer than usual today. We woke up about 8:40AM. Then we headed for some breakfast and on to Universal Islands of Adventure. Wow, this place has everything. It was pretty cool seeing the huge video screens. If a person was not being wise they could get into some serious trouble. After we got our tickets we headed to the Hulk ride. We waited about 75 minutes for about 45 seconds of some serious speed. It was pretty good but not as fun as yesterday’s “Kraken” roller coaster. We went to Dr. Doom’s “Fearfall” and I didn’t care for it at all. It thought it was a dud. I guess because I don’t fear too many things. At this point I was feeling kinda bummed-out. We ate some lunch and headed for the Spider-Man attraction. We waited about an hour for this ride. I must say this one topped the day. This ride was amazing. I would go back and wait again for this ride. This beats any Disney, Busch Garden’s or Kings Dominion ride. The Spider-man ride was exciting and long. Twice I thought the ride would end and it still continued on. It was very impressive!

We strolled on over to Sinbad’s 8th Voyage Show. This show was cut short by about 3 minutes due to some lighting spotted in the area. So we walked around for about 3 minutes and found that the Toon Lagoon had opened the Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw-Falls water ride. Toon Lagoon was pretty cool. This theme was all the old Comic Strip characters. Characters like Betty Boop and Dennis the Menace. There was even Popeye and some of the other old cartoon characters. I enjoyed this lot. The Ripsaw Falls was a blast. JaNonda was soaked. We had a very enjoyable time. We headed over to The Lost Continent to see Poseidon’s Fury. This attraction came from no where. This one surprised me and was very entertaining. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I must say don’t miss this one!

It was fun walking through the Seuss land. This man must have an interesting mind. The words and the rhymes changed our minds. I’ll leave you with this: “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh the Thinks you can think up only if you try”....Dr Seuss.
