Day 33 - Balance ("0.00")

I wonder if this is a profound to you as it was for me. Last night while driving, JaNonda and I were listening to Elvis on the radio. I remembered hearing some years ago that when Elvis died he was near bankrupt. How could the most notable personality of the 20th century be bankrupt?
I bet so many of us reading this would say “Man, if I had his money I wouldn’t be bankrupt!” Not so fast. You know we hear often that people who win the lotto usually end up back in the same place years later. I know I can still hear “Man, if I had that money that wouldn’t happen to me!” If you someone else to managed it for you. I’m not talking about greed.

This is what I think. Elvis knew and perhaps many us of know what it feels to see $0.00 balance on our statement. Do we have a problem with seeing $0.00 and knowing we can climb right back out. Are we used to operating around the $0.00 line? How bad must it get before we realize it’s bad to think this way? Do we see our spiritual life this excessively?

How do we realize God? We are use to realizing God in a certain way. Therefore, unless we get that predicament feeling again then we’re not realizing God.
The problem is that the first time we realized the grace of God was either during a tragedy or a crisis. We can also realize God when things are good. God is all-knowing but it must be heartbreaking. Heartbreaking to see his creation think that in order to realize him we must find ourselves in the same emotional, physical or spiritual place as we started.

Are we able to teach our children there is more?
How do we change first?
I’m not saying balance $0.00 is horrible.

I am saying that Gad is more.
