I watched the debate last night. Can we say that whoever becomes President if they don’t shape up should only stay 4 years? I know I’m not the sharpest knife. I’m sure their wisdom is greater than mine is or they wouldn’t be where they are right now. That includes the VP candidates too. Still I’m not the average KY boy either. I’ve figured some things out in my 40 years of living in the USA. One of the things I’ve figured out is that Americans appreciate someone that just lays the truth out. Don’t hide it, candy coat it or even attempt to make it easy to chew. Just give us the plain truth. I mean we are trying to make our individual choices based on a politician’s words and speeches. That’s why politicians get slammed. We can never believe them. We never know when we are getting the truth or the real person. I think all four people are hiding who they really are.
Let’s take this bailout for example. From day one, I’ve said “No!” to any bailout. It angered me when the first bailouts were granted. We all know that if the average American were to loose their bank account due to bad investments or to no brainer planning; the government isn’t going to replace it. In fact, they may audit you wondering what is happening. Now I’m not a cynical type of person but I believe over half our Senators are invested with AIG. I heard today that another 30 billion in bailouts would be given to AIG. I know it seems that a 700 billion dollar bailout was needed. What if we didn’t have the 700 billion dollars? Oh, I’m sorry we don’t. In today’s technology, it’s virtual. I think this is an example to not only to the USA but also for the rest of the planet. We’re ignorant. I don’t want to seem callous to people who are about to loose their retirement. I’m sorry. Still, we need to suffer through this and learn some things. I think most Americans can take the blame. Some of us should take more blame. Officers/Board Members of these companies should be put on trial. In addition to every Congressperson. The least that should happen is that the Officers/Board Members and Congresspersons should be fired. These practices and the bailouts are enabling a nation to continue the course of bad financial practices. People are loosing jobs. It saddens me to think that children are loosing parents.
To our Presidential candidates: Do you really want to be change? I hear the same lyrics with a different tune. Hey, step away from your party and your friends and think of America. Why couldn’t one of you stand up and say “No!” to the bailouts? You know it’s wrong. That would be change. Today, you might even be ahead in your ever-loving poll. Give us the straight talk or just get out of the way. We can reap what we sow. We are America we’ve been through worse times. This will pass too.
I stand by my suggestion that we should fire every current Congressperson with our vote! The bailouts were and are bad. I think its criminal and mafia like. The constitution is now a guideline and no longer alive. Who gets our vote? Think of it this way. They’re all four liars when they tout the word change. I don’t believe it.
Both Presidential candidates adamantly speak “I warned about this type of failure.” If so, then neither one of them deserve to President. Obviously they don’t know how to deliver a warning very well. If they didn’t have enough passion as a Senator then why should we believe they'll have enough passion as President? I agree with Gov. Palin and Senator McCain the office of the President is not a place for on-the-job training. This statement should be directed to all four.
Senator Obama: You cannot make a decision. You go around in circles.
Senator McCain: We’ll never know what we’ll get from day to day. You seem unstable.
Senator Biden: You think you should be President. So then, you’ll say what you can to be Vice-President while crossing your fingers.
Gov. Palin: Yes ma'am, your from a beautiful state. The lower 48 isn't as isolated as Alaska.
Please God. Thanks for not having a bailout heart. Thanks for teaching us properly about our mistakes so we don’t return to them. I’m thankful that in every thing you remain true! Importantly, may we seek you for the wisdom in future decisions.
"True wisdom and real power belong to God; from him we learn how to live, and also what to live for. Strength and success belong to God; both deceived and deceiver must answer to him. He strips experts of their vaunted credentials, exposes judges as witless fools. He fires high officials from their jobs." -Job
